Low Rollers truck club held their annual End of Summer Bash show the weekend of August 21 & 22 in Woodstown NJ. Pudge, Duval, Little D, Zeke, Daisy & I traveled down for the weekend after work on Friday night. Arriving on Friday, we ended up just chillin' at the hotel and drinking the night away.

Saturday morning, we got up early, got Pudge's truck all cleaned and shined up for its second appearance of the year (Duval was the lucky one that got to be the wheel bitch) and headed to an empty gas station parking lot to sit for about 45 minutes. We were waiting for Dougie, a photographer from Street Source magazine to shoot Pudge's S-10 for their magazine. After we got that done with, we headed off to the show.

Arriving at the Salem County Fairgrounds, we got the truck and Duval's Probe registered, set up the tent, and went off to take some pics, since it looked like it was going to pour at any second. And, it did.

So, what options do you have when it rains at a show? Why, you drink, of course! Somewhere along the way, I decided to go shot to shot with everyone that was hanging out in our tent. By this time, not only was our crew there, but Kevin, who had drove the whole way down from Connecticut, as well as Pecker, Bobbie, Nat, and Nate Dog had showed up. Needless to say, I wasn't allowed to handle my camera any more after that! We made the sacred trip to Hooters that night for dinner and entertainment. After that, we chilled at our hotel and worked on some more alcohol consumption.

Sunday it had stopped raining, and was a nice day out to get some real pictures of what and who had showed up. Daisy was really impressed with a '96 Accord, and didn't stop talking about it all weekend. Pudge loved the '87 S-10 that is owned by Chris Voorhest with Acrophobia, and he should have been impressed, since he won the Best of Show/Chris Wallace award. One of the things that is special about this show is the honor that LR gives to the Wallace family. Chris Wallace, a member of LR, passed away a few years ago. Each year, the Wallace family returns to the show to give their favorite vehicle an elaborate trophy in honor of Chris. Pudge ended up with first place in his class, and Charlie Hutcheson with his new body style S-10 won Best Truck.

LowRollers is always a fun show to go to, and this year was no different. We had a blast hanging out with the guys from the club, relaxing, and kicking back. Check out the LR website to see updates on when the show will be next year - www.lowrollers.com.
