It was a cold day the 24th of January. Gump and Terra Oyler of Exclusive Styles truck club were going to Boston Massachusetts for the North-East Bike Expo. Gump, being a very good friend of ours, volunteered his services and his camera to cover this show for P&OM.
On the way to Boston they happened to drive through Orange county, NY and decided to stop by OCC. When they arrived at the Tuttles shop they were told that the guys weren't there, but they did see a small fleet of Hummers parked out back. They also popped back into OCC on the way home, when they were told the guys were out shooting the AOL Superbowl commercials. This time they saw Paul Sr's suv with the massive front end damage incurred over the past year of taping American Chopper.
Once at the expo Gump was blown away by the quality of the bikes there, his exact words were, "I saw probably 200 bikes and 200 of them were incredible." Choppa head debuted their new bike "Handsome Devil" an old skool rigid triumph painted red with black flames. Some of the vendors at the show included Sick Boy, Big Dog, Boss Hoss, J&P Cycles, Chopper Works, Rick's Motorcycles, Rt. 81 Hells Angels, Honda, Yamaha, and Aprilia. Other big names on hand were Biker Billy Lane, Indian Larry, Bourget, Perewitz, and Paul Cox of Gasoline Alley. Indian Larry was there bright and early signing autographs and sitting little kids on his bike for pictures.
Gump and Terra had met Billy Lane and the rest of the guys from Choppers Inc. while in Key West last year, and fortunately he remembered them. Billy picked Terra out of the crowd and gave her a big kiss and the hat of his head to give to Gump. Once he spotted gump he flirted with Terra even more to get a rise out of Gump. They ended spending the evening partying with Choppers Inc.
North-East Bike Expo sounded like it was a blast. I'm going next year, and taking Gump with so maybe I can get a hat from Billy Lane.
