Ivy comes to us from the culture-hub of Minneapolis, where she is just a good-oldfashioned
down-to-earth girl that loves cooking, fine dining, dancing, acting, traveling, and
modeling.
Ivy grew up in the spotlight - whether it was performing on-stage in her dance
classes - she has studied jazz, ballet, and hip hop - performing in local community theater
plays, or playing extras in movies - she can be seen as a youngster in The Craft and Jingle
All The Way - it is safe to say that she is at home in front of a crowd!
But the small town gigs just aren’t doing it for her any longer. In September, she is
taking the big step and moving to Los Angeles to pursue her dreams full-time. She has
experience in all facets of the performance world, and is no stranger to the modeling world
either. This past year, she was doing a photo shoot in Miami when a group of Japanese
tourists caught sight of her and drew a crowd to her shoot - they believed that they were
getting snap shots and home moview of the next big thing, and we think that they were
right! Ivy says that she had fun with her “fake taste of being a celebrity”.
While she has traveled all over to do photo shoots, jetting off to New York, Mexico,
Toronto, and LA, her favorite place to be is Miami. She truly hates the cold weather of her
hometown, and worships the much sunnier beaches of the coasts.
When not acting, modeling, or studying to get her Public Relations degree, Ivy is
working on publishing a book, which she hopes to have done in the next five years. After
that, she would love for it to be turned into a screenplay. The work is loosely based on the
events of her life, with a whole Good Fellas/Blow feel to it. It’s all about “the ups and
downs of life”, an anti-chick flick, which Sex in the City inspired her to start working on.
Some may wonder where all of her energy comes from to pursue so many different
avenues of life; most likely, that energy runs in her family’s blood. Ivy’s older brother is a
DJ, and her mom gets her balance through natural sources - she is an instructor at a yoga
studio. And then there is dad, the levelheaded voice of reason, who is a financial planner.
Add in her boyfriend of a year who runs a nightclub, and you have enough energy floating
about to power the sun!
So, for the next two years, Ivy will be “hitting it hard”, working on making her way into
the business and we are sure that she will achieve her goals! You can see more pic of Ivy
on her website at www.ivycrush.com, and don’t forget to look for her in the April issue of
Maxim!
