Kevin Delaney, a friend of the P&OM crew, who lives a whole lot closer to Connecticut than we do, went to the Show of Dreams 2004 to get the scoop on what was going on. Also known as Frank Maratta's Auto & Cycle Show, and sponsored by Town Fair Tire and PPG, it was held January 30th through February 1st at the Connecticut Expo Center in Hartford.

This is Kevin's second year attending the show; he came back this year back because of the huge variety of quality custom vehicles and motorcycles that are present, as well as the events that the sponsors put on to keep the crowd interested and entertained.

On Friday evening there was the Friday Night Fire, where a Jet car melted a Honda. Saturday the Saturday Night Thunder took place when a crew from the "Follow the Dream" team tore down, rebuilt and started a 500HP funny car motor. Throughout the weekend there were also other various activities taking place that could grab your attention: a Chopper Build Off by Fat City Cycles: Fat City built a bike from the ground up over the course of the weekend show and a Live Airbrush Show: Richard Markham did custom airbrush work on a car that included a large hood mural.

There were a ton of vehicles that were customized at St. James Custom Autobody and painted by Richard Markham - but you can check that out for yourself in the pics! From what I have seen in Kevin's pics, the show looks awesome and I definitely want to try to make it up there myself next year. Check out their site at www.fmautoshow.com to find out future info about the show.
