The P&OM crew went to see UUU, a cover band from that is traveling up and down the East Coast, at the Hardware Bar in Harrisburg, PA. Mimicking the Coyote Ugly theme, the Hardware Bar brings lots of bands in, and is always a great time. Check out their site at www.eclipsedanceclub.com. UUU is one of the best cover bands that hits our little conservative-farming-country-capitol town. They put on a great show, and have a loyal following.
The band is made up of a great group of guys that rock. They play the mainstream pop hits that we all know and love to sign along with (especially when we're drunk!) Jason is the lead vocalist and one of the guitarists. He is the front-and-center guy that makes a large portion of the show enjoyable. Along with fellow guitar/vocalist Aaron, they keep the front of the stage alive with action. Their enthusiasm is contagious and spreads through the crowd to get everyone on their feet and having a blast.
Doug, aka The Love Doctor, is another guitarist and assistant vocalist. He has a definite "air" about him that tells you that he is dedicated to his work. He is one of the original members of UUU, before they were even that, and simply loves his music career. He has a brilliance in creating lyrics for the songs that he is working on in his other business(es) - face it, we all have six different projects on the side and hopefully one of the six will allow us not to have to work again!
Guido is the keyboardist and another vocalist in UUU. He was asked to fill in last minute on the keyboard, with two days preparation time the first time that they played together. The rest is history! Being the youngest member of the band, Guido enlightened me to an interesting fact (that I may or may not be guilty of): Why is it that when girls drink and wake up the next day they say "I never did anything of the sort!! You're a liar!"
