When we first looked at getting a model for this shoot, Sonya stuck out among her peers for her oblivious good looks and sex appeal. However, she turned into one of our greatest models yet, and a lot of fun as well! She is so much more than just a model... keep reading and find out more.
P&OM: So how did you first get started modeling?
Sonya: I actually am a car chick myself. I used to have an Eclipse that I showed and won first place with at Hot Import Nights in Philly. I would stand beside my car, and I was getting as much attention from the guys as my car was; people kept wanting to know why I wasn't modeling. I decided to give it a try. It has worked out for me really well, and I have had the opportunity to appear on FunkMaster Flex, Def Jam, and in Redline which is a magazine that is only sold in the UK.
P&OM: So you not only look great beside the cars, but you know how to get down and dirty under the hood too!
Sonya: And not just cars...I had a Kawasaki Ninja R7 that I had to sell as well. I miss that freedom that only comes when you're on a bike.
P&OM: Wow! Is there anything that you don't do?
Sonya: Yeah, I'm really careful about the reputation that I could get by being a model and not thinking my actions through. This isn't what I want to do for the rest of my life; I'm in marketing, so I know the business of selling. I won't participate in any type of bikini contests, wet t-shirt contests, or the booty shake competitions like they had earlier. I'm really concerned about not being disrespectful of my body, and I think about how my parents would react to the things that I do.
