Screamapillar is an alternative rock band from Pennsylvania which will stop at nothing until they conquer the world with their music.

Screamapillar convened in a basement in early 2002 and began piecing together intricate bits of a musical puzzle. Eventually, the puzzle formed to be comprised of Jackieraye (vocals), Jason Greenwood (guitar), Justin Boyd (bass) and Jeff Bucci (drums). Hailing from York, Pennsylvania, Screamapillar is determined to be the next band from that area to make an impact, following groups Poison, Live and Fuel.

Perhaps the most formidable boon in the quest is the powerful artistic vocals and stage aura of front woman and songwriter, Jackieraye. This fiery performer refuses to settle for second best, as made obvious by the raw talent in the rest of the band.

Pulling their inspiration from such groups as Bjork, Incubus, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Primus, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, their main influence comes from “any other artist who had the guts to do their own thing and not conform to mainstream”.

Unlike most of the musicians in their area, Screamapillar aren't content to play other people's music for a living. Artists and true musicians, this band was not formed for the sake of local notoriety and bar scene majesty. Notoriety, has however, quickly found them, as they recently opened for national recording artists FeFe Dobson (Island) and Bubba Sparxxx (Universal).

A motivated group, Screamapillar completely self recorded and produced their first independently released 10 song record entitled "Users and Abusers", and has managed to move several hundred copies as well since September 2003. Do not be fooled by the looks of this band. They are not cookie cutter and despite their name they will not be doing any tributes to those metal days gone by. Screamapillar's music speaks for itself.

Since November 2002 Screamapillar has played over 60 shows with over 30 bands -without booking and management- while maintaining full time day jobs and producing a ten song album entitled "Users and Abusers". They have an extensive repertoire of cover songs, if necessary, but focus heavily on the more than 20 original songs in the Screamapillar library.
