Some models just have a tough life. Take Cari Ann for example: when I talked with her, she had just landed in California for a week-long promotional trip across the state and was forced to pass her time by lying pool-side. As she puts it, “it’s an occupational hazzard that comes with the job”.

My first question for her was what she had to suffer through when she wasn’t jet-setting and worshiping the sun. And, I found out that she is quite the busy girl! Currently, she is the Circuit City official spokesmodel for the 2005 year, she is a modeling coordinator for Twisted Dimensions, and she coaches two all-star teams of cheerleaders.

When she has her Twisted Dimensions hat on, she helps to recruit models, photographers, and managers, helps to get the models bookings with reputable companies, and answers questions from the models when they are preparing for a job.

Back at home in New York, when she is coaching her cheerleading crews, she is working with the best of the best in two teams: one of grade school kids and the other of high school pep-rally leaders. But Cari Ann didn’t just pick the cheerleading gig out of a hat - she is a born & bread cheerer. From 5th grade on through college at St. John’s, Cari Ann was an all-star herself, as well as going on to be part of the staff of UCA, the Universal Cheerleaders Association. She’s invested in this competition, and as Cari Ann puts it, “it’s about more than just the short skirt for me”.

But don’t think for a moment that she is all cheers and pompoms! Cari Ann is a tomboy that grew up being a daddy’s girl. Along with her two brothers, she hung out around the track where her dad was a race car driver. She currently likes to relax there on a free evening with her friends where they can watch the Corvettes compete. And, when they aren’t racing at the track, Cari Ann and her boyfriend have taken up the hobby of suping up their jet skis so that she can fulfill her other passion of “going fast and being crazy”.
