When Pudge and I entered into Paradise Lost Tattoos & Body Piercing to shoot Alexis, our May Babe of the Month, we both just said WOW. This place is insane!

Now, I don't know about you guys, but the tattoo shops that are around here are pretty much just functional businesses - you go, you get your ink, you may hang out for awhile, but the building itself isn't that cool, so you leave. You go to see the people, not the shop. That is what makes Paradise Lost different. Not only are the people here cool as hell, but the shop rocks too!

According to their website 'The idea was to make a unique tattoo and piercing studio. By unique we mean, walking in and being in a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. One where you can sit down in an air conditioned environment and decide on the tattoo or piercing of your choice without feeling threatened or out of place." They have gone above and beyond that mission!

Paradise Lost sits in the college town of Kutztown. They have settled into their home in an old converted bank; their piercing room is housed inside their vault. An upstairs loft allows employees a place to chill while on break or having dinner, with a birds eye view of the shop below. And of course, the boss gets to have his sanctuary upstairs as well!

The head honcho, Chris Haas, has been wielding his machine for fourteen years. He does really great work, and has had the opportunity to apply ink to a lot of celebrities, including Jenna Jameson, and has won a ton of awards for his work. Chris has a varied artistic background, which includes sketch art, acrylic painting, sculpting, and wood working.
