Bri & I traveled to Ohio to attend the 2nd Annual Falken Tire Ohio ITB show the weekend of May 22 & 23. Weather wise, it was a nice day; a little hot, but nothing unbearable. I am not sure what else I can say about the rest of the weekend. Let me clue you in:

We started off Saturday morning a little later than anticipated because Friday night lasted longer than it was supposed to - it was full of drunken boys (ours) and a drunken girl and people wanting to kiss other people goodnight....

But anyways, Saturday morning we were off. Apparently Friday night in Ohio wasn't uneventful either - there was rain. And a lot of rain. So much rain that the roads were closed due to the insane amount of flooding. So we took a detour. Now, most detours that I am used to tell you where to go to get back onto the road where you left off. Apparently, Ohio hasn't gotten that message yet. After 40 minutes of driving into the country where there were no type of directions, except for your compass, we arrived at the show.

The show itself was decent. It was a smaller show than it's Father Show - Indy ITB - has grown to be, but I think that in a few years it will be the place to be. Overall, the quality of rides present was competition for any of the more established shows, and the mix of trucks and imports evened things out. There is a 1/4 mile track that attendees could test out their rides on, or race against their competition. And the alcohol was flowing freely throughout the day! The bikini contest gathered the hottest of the hot girls up at the grounds to show off their body mods on-stage.

After having a full day of sun and fun, we went to find our motel, which I was questioning before we even stepped foot inside. Well guess what - they lived up to my expectations and had "lost" my reservation. Here's the fun part: they were booked up full with a wedding party, and there were no other hotels within a good 20 miles! So, unfortunately, we missed awards the next day. We bailed and came back across the PA border to get a nice steak at Outback and sleep in undoubtedly the most comfortable beds ever. (Seriously, it is now four months later, and we are still thinking about the wonderful beds!)
