The weekend of June 25 & 26, minitrucks and import cars converged upon the
Wicomico Civic Center in Salisbury, MD. In past years, this show has been one of
THE shows to be at, and while attendance of minitrucks was down from years past,
the import cars made up for it in filling the lot.
Inside the Civic Center, attendees and spectators took refuge from the
sweltering heat to check out the vehicles on display. The highlight of the inside
customs was the old-time stomper that was painted bright yellow, with a blue frame,
that was adorned with various cartoon characters pushing on the wheel wells and
ripping out of the front engine compartment.
Back outside, some guys that had a little too much energy picked up sledge
hammers and beat out any frustrations onto two crashed cars. Taking it one step
further, they decided to all pull together and flip the cars onto their hoods. A stomper
show vehicle got some picture opps when he decided to drive right up on the turned
over beaters.
ECM’s club vehicles are always in the top ranking rides at the show, and they
didn’t let us down this year either. Be part of this long-standing event next year by
