Sometimes you meet the staff at a local shop that you visit and there truly is only one word that describes them, the shop, and everything surrounding it - bad-ass. That is just the case when it comes to 2502 Design, a custom bike shop located in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.

Owners Shawn Cooper & Kris Morris have built what is becoming a go to name in the local community. Since opening their doors in the fall of 2003, they have shown that they have the talent and commitment to back their work up, now all they need is to get their name out.

When you walk up to the shop for the first time, you may be met by silence, or you may be met by the sounds of Kai, the 165 pound 'security system'. I am not a huge fan of dogs that are bigger than I am, but he actually is a pretty cool dog, when he isn't running into you trying to get you to pet him or freaking out and biting your foot.

Spending an evening in the two-story shop with the guys, we had the opportunity to see what they are all about. The shop specializes in custom paint, fabrication, mechanical work, screenprinted apparel, vinyl work, video production, and parts and accessories sales. Specializing in customizing sportbikes is a hard business, because the guys know that the bikes that they work so hard to get to perfection are rarely going to last that long on the streets!

But Shawn & Kris aren't strangers to any type of injury sustained while riding either! They have had almost as many broken bones and fractures as they have unbroken bones. While working on their video production, they have had to try out many crazy stunts that have left quite a few bruises - but it has made for some awesome footage on their DVDs!
