If you have never been to a Hot Import Nights/Daze show, you are missing out on an entire show experience that is unlike anything else. Pudge and I attended our only HIN show for the year in Philadelphia on Saturday, June 26th.

The first thing that is different about HIN shows is their time table. While most shows start at the crack of dawn, as their name would suggest, this series doesn't start until the late afternoon or evening. In Philly, the excitement began at 5:00 and lasted until midnight.

Entering the convention center, you can hear the pulsating thumping of the music throughout every muscle in you, and feel as if you have stepped into a club instead of a show scene. Music was spun all night by Miss Lisa, who wouldn't allow attendees to get weary from the late hour by having any slow or quiet times.

Once inside the show floor, we had to figure out how to take pictures of what was taking place to accurately show you guys. With no type of florescent or regular overhead lighting, we were left with many strobe lights of every different color flashing everywhere. Hopefully, you can get the idea from the following pages of how cool this was.

All of the Hot Import Nights and Daze shows are sanctioned by NCCA. At this show we once again met up with some of the featured members that you have seen over the past few months that swept up the NCCA awards and put themselves in the lead for the points competition that is getting ready to wrap up shortly. NCCA member Bob Mull with his Chevy Cavalier took home the Best of Show award.

Show sponsors Pepsi, Toyo Tires, MTV, Mazda, Hot Wheels, Meguiar's, Circuit City, and Dunlop, just to name a few, kept participants and attendees invigorated by providing samples of free stuff and models to draw you off of the isles and into their booths to talk about the products that they have.

There are still two shows left in the series for 2004 - a Night show on December 11th in Miami and the grand finale of Hot Import Daze on the 18th in Honolulu. The show schedule for 2005 has already been set and will be available soon on the HIN website at www.hotimportnights.com, or check out the P&OM calendar of events to plan your schedule out now!
