When you think of world-class hotrods you think of Southern California, not a little town outside of Hershey, Pennsylvania called Hummelstown. From my years of mini-trucking I knew about this shop called Posies, I even had their mono-leaf spring on my S-10, what I didn't realize was what this shop was capable of, or their accomplishments.
Posies can deliver the parts you need, make your rod ride the way you want it to or build the car you've always dreamed of. Their product line is amazing. Posies not only specializes in suspension systems, but they are your one stop shop for vintage air, custom louver punching, chop tops, glass, exhaust, tube bending, hoods, wiring, welding, machine work, and sheet metal fabrication.
Posies was first opened in 1964. They started building springs for their clients' cars when they realized they couldn't get the stance or quality of ride with the springs on the market at that time. Over the years the shop grew, as did their capabilities. Posies was making "statements" in the street rod industry with their conceptions and the introductions of vehicles such as "The Smooth '36", "Orange Crisp", and my favorite, the "Extremeliner". As well as building his own creations, the crew has built cars for some big names including: Polk Audio, Kicker, Vic Edelbrock, Butch Mock, and Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top.
If you'd like to contact Posies you can stop by the shop at 219 North Duke St. in Hummelstown. Or give them a call them at 717-566-3340 or visit their site at www.posiesrodsandcustoms.com.
